The winning entries were honest answers from people who have overcome great things
Foster City, Calif. (PRWEB) November 21, 2011
Online-Education.net, a portal for students seeking online education, recently announced the winners of their Twessay Contest, an essay contest that takes place on Twitter. The lucky winners were challenged to answer a prompt in less than 140 characters to win an Amazon Kindle fire.
“We were thrilled to see all the inspirational stories that came through,” said Anne Larsson, Online-Education.net spokesperson. “There is truly a desire amongst our users to focus on their education even despite their tough situations, which was clearly showcased in some very outstanding tweets.”
Entrants were asked to “discuss a setback that has had a positive influence on your educational pursuit” but only three were selected as the grand prize winners. The tweets by @Thomasville @MissingLynxx and @ davisesq212 were all chosen because of their creativity and their ability to capture their moving stories in a brief sentence.
“The winning entries were honest answers from people who have overcome great things,” said Larsson. “We’re dedicated to encouraging and motivating individuals to continue their education.”
