After two weeks of new tweeps, hashtags and tweets, Twessay Contest has come to a close. Users were asked to answer a prompt relating to their education and three winners were chosen to receive a brand new Amazon Kindle Fire.

The winning entries were honest answers from people who have overcome great things, a portal for students seeking online education, recently announced the winners of their Twessay Contest, an essay contest that takes place on Twitter. The lucky winners were challenged to answer a prompt in less than 140 characters to win an Amazon Kindle fire.

“We were thrilled to see all the inspirational stories that came through,” said Anne Larsson, spokesperson. “There is truly a desire amongst our users to focus on their education even despite their tough situations, which was clearly showcased in some very outstanding tweets.”

Entrants were asked to “discuss a setback that has had a positive influence on your educational pursuit” but only three were selected as the grand prize winners. The tweets by @Thomasville @MissingLynxx and @ davisesq212 were all chosen because of their creativity and their ability to capture their moving stories in a brief sentence.
