During the holidays, everyone is in the giving spirit so it’s natural to give to those in need, but at Fellowship Church we want to do more than just give, we want to invest in the lives and futures of our communities and around the world
Grapevine, TX (PRWEB) November 21, 2011
Beginning Thanksgiving weekend, Fellowship Church is reaching out to local families and two deployed military platoons. Traditional Thanksgiving meal items were collected for distribution to local families around the Dallas/Ft. Worth and Miami, FL areas. Fellowship Church has four campus locations in DFW and one in Miami, FL. Keeping with the spirit of serving others, all church campuses offered anyone who wanted to volunteer the opportunity to help sort and deliver the food items.
Throughout both the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, Fellowship Church will continue to serve two adopted military platoons stationed in Afghanistan.. With all support coming through donations, Fellowship Church will be filling and sending care packages to these platoons. Suggested items for donation include beef jerky, Starbucks instant coffee, and AT&T calling cards. A complete list is available on http://www.FellowshipChurch.com. This particular donation period will end December 14, 2011, but continued support is planned throughout the coming year in an effort to impact the lives of these soldiers.
Around Christmas time, children’s needs are an especially important focus. Fellowship Church’s “From Our House to Theirs” initiative is committed to helping fulfill children’s Christmas wish lists. All donated gifts will go directly to local children and make this Christmas one they will never forget. Opportunities are also available to adopt a child and provide for all of his or her needs, as well as scheduled times to sort, organize, and deliver presents. Suggested gift lists divided by age group are available on Fellowship’s website, or on the FC iPhone app.
