GMA Consulting, the London-based IT consultancy specialising in the design, development and implementation of solutions using Microsoft technologies, is pleased to announce the launch of a cloud-hosted online demonstration site of its SharePoint 2010-based IT Service Desk solution which is aligned with ITIL guidelines.

GMA Consulting, the London-based IT consultancy specialising in advanced functionality centred on the Microsoft SharePoint platform, is launching an online demonstration site for its SharePoint 2010-based IT Service Desk solution which is aligned with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) guidelines.

“We are delighted to be launching this cloud-based demonstrator of our IT Service Desk solution. We believe that it will provide prospective customers with a quick and easy way to try out the solution” said Ben Grey, a Director at GMA Consulting.

“Customers who want to try the solution can fill in a form on our website and a Nintex workflow will create a 7 day trial account for them with 3 roles, an end user, an IT support person and an IT manager. With these roles they can try the various functionality elements within the system” said Grey.

GMA’s SharePoint IT Service Desk solution is:

  •     Aligned with ITIL guidelines but is not over-burdened by the full complexity of ITIL
  •     Based on and integrates with common Microsoft technologies
  •     Inexpensive to buy, install and maintain to maximise ROI
  •     Easily configured to the client's requirements - e.g. system impacted incident categories, etc.
  •     Easily extended for to allow for incremental Service Desk functionality or additional capabilities such as change requests or problem management

The solution leverages Nintex Workflow 2010 to automate the service request process. Nintex Workflow was chosen by GMA because it is built on SharePoint for SharePoint, offers simple deployment and management, and no client software or additional infrastructure is required.

“We at Nintex are very impressed with GMA’s ITIL aligned SharePoint IT Service Desk Solution. It makes use of State Machines which is a key Nintex Workflow feature and also provides an elegant user interface. As a consequence, a significant number of Nintex Partners and customers have already expressed interest in the Online Demonstrator.” said David Howard of Nintex.
