Office furniture specialists, EthoSource, offer Furniture Management services designed to make the process of upgrading, redesigning, or furnishing an office simple and smooth. For Translogistics, this makes EthoSource a perfect partner.
When Translogistics, a greater Philadelphia logistics company, relocated their corporate office to accommodate their rapid growth, they looked to EthoSource to manage the design of their new office space. Translogistics wanted to create an office environment that represented their company’s professional image and unique culture. They needed a work space that was aesthetically pleasing, while at the same time providing the functionality to match each department’s needs.
Using Herman Miller Ethospace cubicles, EthoSource created offices with an executive desk feel, as well as collaborative space for daily team meetings. One workstation was customized for an employee who prefers to stand. Other special needs included whiteboards in some areas and a fax/printer area. Each space was configured specifically for the way the company – and individuals – planned to use that space.
Additionally, through the course of developing the relationship, it was realized that TLI’s expertise in the logistics/transportation industry could also greatly benefit EthoSource in their ability to service and ship products to their other clients located throughout the country. As a result, TLI has been added to EthoSource’s exclusive list of transportation providers.
“This really was a win-win situation for both companies,” said Ken Ritter, CFO for TLI. ““EthoSource provided us with office furniture for every room of our new space: cubicles, reception, private offices, conference rooms, café, and seating throughout, in return we are able to assist them logistically with the ability to better service their other clients throughout the country.”
Function is obviously the main focus for a company that is all about logistics. However, Translogistics also had aesthetic goals. “We had a very specific look that we were going for and Account Executive Danielle Paul took the time to really understand our needs and show us options at different price points. With her help we were able to keep our budget, get a fresh updated look, and have a functional working environment that we are very proud of.”
Danielle Paul of EthoSource was able to use the massive inventory EthoSource keeps on hand to identify just the right pieces of refurbished and upcycled office furniture to suit Translogistics. The new location is more spacious and appealing to visitors, and allows for more collaboration and a motivating working environment.
“Overall, we were highly pleased with the work and product EthoSouce provided,” added Ritter. “As consultants ourselves, we realize the value in working with a client to fully understand their needs and then provide them with a viable solution that will meet and exceed their specific requirements.”
