UK–based Funzee -- the online adult size “onesie” and loungewear supplier (http://www.funzee.com) -- announces that it is moving its warehousing and order fulfilment operations to Midpoint National in Kansas City.
Funzee is an established European online retailer that offers its own brand of one piece pajamas and other fun loungewear. The British company started selling in the US in the second half of 2011, initially to gain feedback and judge the demand for its products. It quickly became apparent that their fun clothing will be well received.
So Funzee started reviewing third party fulfilment companies that could handle all the physical aspects of order fulfilment. They have selected Midpoint National based in Kansas City, KS. Mark Heselgrave, founder of Funzee, explains why: “We need a company that acts like a partner and not a supplier. We will be selling nationally and our customers expect first-class customer service. Because of their location, Midpoint can offer fast delivery throughout the USA and because of their experience they will help us find the best rates amongst the different shipping methods available.” Funzee says they will manage their growth carefully and will use Midpoint’s operational systems expertise to provide excellent customer service.
Midpoint has been providing clients with innovative distribution solutions for over 20 years. Tim Freund, Director of Business Development, is pleased to be working with Funzee: “While we have many large national accounts for which we provide order fulfilment, it is also exciting to work with new companies on a rapid growth path. The internet offers great efficiencies for online stores like Funzee but they still need to effectively handle the import, storage and shipping of physical goods. By partnering with Midpoint, Funzee can focus their resources on creating great products and developing a web presence -- while we at Midpoint focus on ensuring that their customers enjoy great service.”
Funzee will be bringing in a larger range of products during 2012 and will target buyers attending summer festivals, where they have already seen strong demand in both the UK and Germany.
