We wanted a partner who could not only act as an extension to our team, but who also had an excellent understanding of the UK media - in Punch we are happy to have found that partner.
London, UK (PRWEB) November 26, 2011
The inventor of the hybrid diaper category, gDiapers, which combines reusable and disposable elements, has appointed integrated PR agency Punch Communications to launch the brand’s UK division, gNappies.
In addition to providing digital PR consultancy services, Punch is also handling PR-led SEO for the nappies brand which was founded in Australia by husband and wife duo Jason and Kim Graham-Nye. When researching suitable nappy options ahead of the arrival of their first child, the Graham-Nye’s were shocked to find alarming statistics regarding the contribution disposable nappies make to landfill (nappy waste is responsible for around a third of landfill) despite the fact that only five per cent of the population uses them. So eager to reduce their child’s carbon footprint they successfully created and launched the gDiapers brand in America.
Having taken a pivotal position as the number one hybrid diaper of choice in the US and recognising a growing demand for the product range in the UK, gNappies launched a UK-specific website in October and presented its full product range at the Baby Show at Earls Court, in the same month. In addition to handling media relations around the gNappies launch announcement, Punch is also managing a comprehensive blogger outreach programme and SEO.
Commenting upon the appointment, co-founder Kim Graham-Nye who was recently named one of Fortune Magazine’s Top 10 Women Entrepreneurs, said: “When we were looking to appoint a UK agency we wanted a partner who could not only act as an extension to our team, but who also had an excellent understanding of the UK media, relationships with our target bloggers and a strong track record in offering a PR-led SEO strategy that reaped a good return on investment. In Punch we are happy to have found that partner.”
Georgina Dunkley account director at Punch Communications, added: “This is a particularly exciting time in the history of the gDiapers’ brand and it is a real pleasure to be a part of it. The team’s energy, enthusiasm and passion for both the product range and creating a greener future for our future generations is contagious and, we are relishing working so closely with them.”
