Being able to understand the probable long-term outcomes of proposed divorce settlements is a huge advantage.
Brentwood, TN (PRWEB) November 29, 2011
Rosemary Frank, divorce financial expert and member of the Association of Divorce Financial Planners(ADFP), has been reappointed to the ADFP Policy and Professional Standards Committee. In this role, Ms. Frank continues to contribute to the development and establishment of practitioner standards for divorce financial professionals throughout the U.S. and Canada.
Divorce finance is a relatively new financial services specialty. The ADFP is a key role player in policy making regarding divorce financial issues and holds members to high standards in professional and ethical protocols in the U.S., Canada, and other countries.
“This is still an emerging field,” says Frank, “and we continue the process of identifying the best and highest standards of practice among practitioners. I am pleased to have been selected to be a part of that.”
As divorce financial experts, practitioners analyze the conditions of divorce settlements, proposed and/or under consideration, and illustrate the long-term financial impact and consequences for clients and their attorneys. This facilitates better decision making. Ms. Frank says, “Being able to understand the probable long-term outcomes of proposed settlements is a huge advantage. This is new information beyond the ability to see things only as they appear today. Clients are making decisions that will impact their financial well-being for the rest of their lives and they need to see what that might look like.”
Rosemary, having received peer recognition as a leader in her profession, sees her activities with the Practice and Professional Standards Committee as the opportunity to help “raise the bar” on services available to divorcing clients across the country from other professionals in addition to herself.
