On 25th November 2011, representatives from SEO Positive, a leading search agency based in Essex, joined hundreds of other marketing professionals at the Shoreditch Town Hall in London for some timely advice from Google’s major product marketing managers about the company’s latest launches.

Although only in its second year, the event has attracted a huge amount of attention from digital marketing agencies from across the globe, with many PPC enthusiasts travelling from as far as Ireland, Poland and Italy to attend the summit.

Guests gained a valuable insight into Google’s goals for the coming year and listened intently as product specialists explained the reasons behind the company’s decision to drop many of its well-performing platforms in recent months. Representatives stated that the company’s first social network attempt, Buzz, was shut down because of the concern surrounding user’s privacy, and were quick to dispel rumours that their newest phenomenon, Google+, is designed solely to take on the arguable leader of the social age – Facebook.

Alongside news about a number of recent innovations from Google, many talks and presentations offered visitors direct advice from the experts behind the company’s highly-regarded ad management software, AdWords, as well as a deeper look at the potential of software such as Google Insights.

Evaldas Balcius, Head of PPC at SEO Positive, explains the importance of attending such events at such a crucial time for the Pay Per Click industry.
