We are pleased to help our home health and hospice users readily adapt to regulatory changes such as Version 5010 and others so they may focus on delivering the best patient care.
Research Triangle Park, NC (PRWEB) November 29, 2011
CareAnyware, Inc., is pleased to announce that all home health and hospice software customers billing Medicare are ready to transmit data and are fully compliant with HIPAA Version 5010 regulations. The testing process with clearinghouses and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) is complete and all organizations using CareAnyware are transmitting Version 5010 data, ensuring no interruption to claims processing and cash flow. CareAnyware deploys all updates to customers via their cloud-based Software as a Service model, enabling home health and hospice leaders to feel prepared and confident when facing changes to regulations.
“Our team has diligently worked to ensure that our valued customers can transmit Version 5010-compliant claims well ahead of the January 2012 deadline,” said CareAnyware CEO Rich Guerin. “We are pleased to help our home health and hospice users readily adapt to regulatory changes such as Version 5010 and others so they may focus on delivering the best patient care.”
Version 5010 updates the standards for electronic healthcare transactions including claims, remittances, eligibility, and claims status requests and responses. The rule requires health plans, health care clearinghouses and certain health care providers to be more specific in what data is required, collected and transmitted. The goal of Version 5010 is to reduce ambiguity, increase information standardization and enable the establishment of more precise benchmarks. The deadline for all HIPAA-covered agencies to comply is January 1, 2012. CareAnyware has been recognized by Medicare Administrative Contractors as an approved 5010 vendor.
