Radio Beastro Pet Show Explores Joys, Challenges of Pet Ownership in America

Beastro examines how pets impact lives and what pet parents can do to maximize their pet experience

Even with the sluggish economy, pet ownership and spending continues to rise, leaving many pet parents looking for an outlet to help guide them through the pet experience in these difficult times.

Radio Beastro, a new On-Demand Petcast on, was created by pet lifestyle expert Kristen Levine to help the 72.9 million American pet parents get the most out of their relationship with their pets. The show focuses on ways pet parents can make pet ownership better, simpler, less expensive and more rewarding.

“Radio has always been a big part of my life, so I welcomed’s invitation to create a show for the ever-growing pet parent audience,” Levine said. “The Internet is the future of radio, and I’m thrilled to be a part of its future through a show where I can educate pet parents about solutions to common pet challenges.”

Each week, Levine and Radio Beastro on-air guests address different pet topics such as pet obesity, pet products savings secrets and creating safe, healthy environments for pets. Listeners also have the opportunity to win prizes and gain access to special pet product discounts and promotions simply by tuning into the show.

About Kristen M. Levine
Kristen’s volunteer work led to a 15-year career as the Public Relations Director of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Tampa Bay, Fla., where she played a critical role in promoting pet adoption and pet lifestyle education. Kristen’s knowledge of pet lifestyle concerns and family dynamics coupled with her understanding of public relations led her to found Fetching Communications, the nation’s first marketing and public relations firm wholly dedicated to serving the pet industry, in 2003.
