Capitol City Cheer just finished the first two competitions of their 2011-12 all star season. They traveled with six teams to Topeka, Kansas on November 5 to compete at the Wham Jam Competition. There were over 100 teams from Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska. Capitol City Cheer ended up with 4 first place wins, 2 second place and 1 third place finish. The Junior team also won Overall level 3 Grand Champion. The Senior teams won the coveted Sportsmanship award.
They returned to practice in Jefferson City, Missouri to prepare for Athletic Championships in St. Louis, Missouri on November 12-13. This 2 day national competition featured teams from Missouri, Illinois, Tennessee, Indiana, and Mississippi. Capitol City Cheer brought home national titles in the Tiny, Junior, and Senior Level 5 division. The Junior team also won the Innovative Stunt award and the Senior 5 team won Innovative Pyramid. The other 3 teams all placed 2nd in their divisions.

Capitol City Cheer is located in Jefferson City, Missouri and is home to cheerleaders across Central Missouri. They train athletes ages 4-19 in all star cheerleading, tumbling, and dance.
