While many corporations are cutting back Costa Mesa-based Morgan Drexen is providing continued education for its employees.

Morgan Drexen provides integrated software and business support platforms to attorneys nationwide. “It is crucial that our employees have the highest level of training. This enables them to provide excellence in supporting to the attorneys we service at Morgan Drexen,” admits Morgan Drexen Chief Executive Officer Walter Ledda.

While unemployment rates have improved in recent months California is among the 27 states that have seen rising unemployment rates. October saw unemployment rates in California of 11.7% rising to 11.9% in September and 12.5% in October. “Further training is essential especially in these tough economic times where unemployment rates are so high,” says Costa Mesa Mayor Gary Monahan.

This week, an additional team of Morgan Drexen employees successfully completed a paralegal certificate through California State University at Monterey Bay as part of The Center for Legal Studies, giving them a stepping-stone for their future. In addition the ability to better serve the clients of Morgan Drexen.

Mastro’s was the restaurant of choice to celebrate the many weeks of hard work by the employees.

Taking the paralegal course has really opened communications with the law offices we work with outside the law firms we support on a daily basis. “I learned how to carry out legal research and got a better understanding of the law and legal procedures. I can now assist the attorneys we support in greater detail with the legal knowledge this course provided,” says Client Coordinator Nick Haider.
