Old Town’s Christmas Celebration Is Truly for Everyone

Central Florida theme park plans holiday festivities including family-friendly activities, unique gift ideas and a high-flying entrance from Santa.

The “Something New in the Air at Old Town” (http://www.MyOldTownUSA.com) resembles a large, jolly man in a red suit. Santa Claus will officially help kick off the inaugural “Old Town Christmas” by zipping into the Kissimmee destination via the new Pepsi AMPventure Experience zip line and then leading a parade of children to his workshop on Old Town’s Main Street.

Santa’s aerial entrance on Friday, December 2nd at 5 p.m. launches a nearly month-long holiday celebration that meets everyone’s budget. As always, entrance to Old Town is free and so is parking.

Old Town, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary, has long been a favorite memory-maker for residents and visitors to Central Florida. Magical falling snow, carolers, story telling, and live performances at various themed holiday blocks will entertain young and old on Friday and Saturday nights from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Children of all ages will want to visit Santa’s Workshop, where they can take a photo with Santa, tell him what they want for Christmas, and enjoy lots of activities with the elves as they get ready for the holiday. (Monday – Friday, from 5- 8 p.m. and on Saturday and Sunday, from 3 – 8 p.m., through December 23rd )

Visitors will find special holiday gifts for even “the hard-to-shop-for” at any of Old Town’s more than 75 specialty retailers. Unique gift ideas include:

50’s and 70’s era memorabilia
Toys
Cigars
Hot sauces
Themed-photos
Magic kits

Need a break from shopping? Enjoy a meal at any of Old Town’s fine restaurants or get some thrills on Old Town’s 14 rides, including the Pepsi AMPventure Experience challenge course, zip line and rock climbing wall.

Old Town is a collection site for Christmas for the Kids Osceola, a non-profit organization that gives toys and other supplies to homeless families throughout Osceola County. Drop off a new toy for the drive and receive half off the price of any ride wristband for unlimited rides all day on Old Town’s 14 attractions and/or the AMPventure Zone.
