New Management Service for Shipyards Launched by Sea Alliance Group

Sea-Alliance Group, the international maritime business, is adding to its portfolio a new quality control service aimed at international shipyards, as a result of growing demand for independent project managers for new build and refit work.

Traditionally we have always worked as representatives of the clients but recently we started to get good feedback from the yards where we have managed projects. Yard representatives have begun to realise the benefit of a project management service.

The new service will be provided by the company’s experienced technical services team, and will give shipyard directors an independent quality control management service to help them improve their organisation and communication with a yacht owner’s team.

There are numerous advantages of the new service:

  • Shipyards will incur fewer costly changes as a result of the improved project management and a reduction in errors
  • The build stays on schedule
  • There is less warranty work to be fulfilled
  • As an independent company, well-connected within the industry, Sea-Alliance Group is also able to suggest contractors and suppliers, and to advise on the latest technologies and methods of construction, as a result of extensive experience gained from working on many different boat builds in locations around the world.

As shipyards around the world increasingly use subcontractors to complete a project, the benefits of an independent project manager/surveyor, overlooking all aspects of the work and managing these, has become more apparent.

New construction
