Attachments.me launches with Dropbox integration and email hooks.

Attachments.me

Attachments.me has decided to take another approach, improving email by building tools and services on top of it.

Attachments.me, a cloud-based attachment solution for Gmail, is officially out of beta today. Their chrome extension now includes Dropbox integration allowing users to easily find and upload attachments to a Dropbox folder, without leaving Gmail. Attachments.me also provides users with a custom email address. Emailing an attachment to that address automatically uploads it to their Dropbox folder. Attachments.me calls these email addresses “email hooks”.

“We plan to continue building out email hooks for your attachments. These are email addresses you can use to perform work on your attachments. We plan on providing hooks for unzipping, image conversion, and sharing,“ says Ben Coe, CTO of Attachments.me. “This becomes incredibly useful for the increasing number of people receiving email on their mobile devices.”

“Many web applications are trying to persuade users to stop using email. Attachments.me has decided to take another approach, improving email by building tools and services on top of it,” says Jesse Miller, CEO of Attachments.me.

Attachments.me has already indexed over 15 million documents and is trusted by thousands of users. To learn more, please visit http://attachments.me
