Be among the first families to test and explore the next development phase of Oville, a child-safe, commercial-free edutainment virtual world for children ages 3-7. Oville is an animated online growing world in which young children can explore, learn and play. Cackleberries seeks families and early educators to provide feedback on the game and innovative ideas for reading, numeracy, and life skills.
The current version of Oville is free and features the Town Round and several houses. Children are able to create their own avatar and build their own house. Oville continues to grow with new additions every month. The next phase including the Frobit Meadow, the Road to the Aerocack Academy and the Smelly Jelly Swamp will be opening soon.
Damien Labonte, Creative Web Director is excited about the upcoming Smelly Jelly Swamp: “The Smelly Jelly will teach colours. Throwing a red and a yellow Jixxlestones into the swamp will make the Swamp turn orange” However it is the upcoming Quest System that the production team is most enthusiastic about. “These quests are geared specifically for young children to encourage them to help others, be kind and learn life skills,” adds Damien. “We are considering Quests such as taking a thank-you card to a friend, helping Mumbee find ingredients for her baking, bringing cookies to another Ovillian and returning Library Books.”
We have received many great ideas from our membership to date. With the request for beta testers Cackleberries is hoping to get even more from children, parents and early educators.
