This year, Giannella has some great tips to help shoppers navigate the holiday season.

Paul Giannella of Woodland Park, NJ is an expert gift giver. So much so, that in 2010 he opened up his own business, Gift-a-Nator, making it easy to find the perfect gift for the person who has everything. Giannella learned at a young age that it’s always important to give a gift – whether visiting a friend, sharing a special occasion or congratulating a colleague. This sentiment was instilled in him at an early age by his mother who would send plates of her delicious cookies whenever he visited a friend.

This year, Giannella has some great tips to help shoppers navigate the holiday season and make gift giving fun and effortless:

The holidays are all about giving. The holiday season is all about giving. Whether it’s for your immediate family, a holiday party hostess, your co-worker or your mailman – always give a gift. It’s shows you care and spreads holiday joy.

It’s the thought that counts. Thoughtfulness is the most important part of gift giving. You don’t want to give a gift just to give it; you want it to have meaning and sentiment. Take the time to think about the person and your relationship with them, what are their hobbies and what do they love to do? If you aren’t sure, homemade cookies always go a long way.

Make a list and check it twice. Although we would all love to give our friends and family whatever their hearts desire, we all have some sort of budget and if we aren’t careful can find ourselves in hot water quickly. It’s important to stay organized during the holiday season, make a list and plan how much you would like to spend for each person based on your overall budget.

Don’t forget the card. Always include a hand written and personalized card with your gift. When it comes to cards, hand written and from the heart is the best way to go to show you truly care.

Always Say “Thank You”. Part of the gift giving process is receiving. Always, always send a thank you note for holiday gifts received, personal hand written notes always go a long way.
