Cellular Sales opens new store, boosts local economy with new sales positions

Cellular Sales, the nation’s largest Verizon premium wireless retailer, recently announced the opening of its newest store located at 1450 Ritchie Highway Store 103 in Arnold.

“As the number one independent Verizon retailer in the country, our goal is to create customer loyalty by cultivating a passion among our sales reps,” said Kory White, Cellular Sales regional director. “And serving customers in Arnold will be no different.”

Cellular Sales – one of the fastest growing retail companies in the nation – currently operates eight retail locations in Maryland and nearly 500 stores across the U.S.

The new store has created seven new sales consultant positions, all of which will be filled by local workers. According to White, the Cellular Sales consultants nationwide average more than $51,000 a year.

The company noted the wireless retailer will provide a boost to the local economy in Anne Arundel County where the unemployment rate in September was 6.6 percent, down slightly from 6.9 percent in August.

Cellular Sales is an 18-year-old privately held company founded and headquartered in Knoxville, Tenn. For the past four years, Inc. Magazine has named Cellular Sales one of the nation’s fastest-growing privately-owned retailers. In 2011, the company was ranked among the nation’s 75 fastest growing retailers among the Inc. 5000.

“Cellular Sales aims to contribute to career opportunities in the Arnold area,” said Kory White. “We want to attract motivated sales professionals who can help us provide the best wireless service.”
