Newly Published Report Declares a Specialist Sustainability Consultancy

In a report published recently by independent analyst firm Verdantix, has been recognised as one of the UK’s foremost sustainability consulting firms.

Carbon Clear advises companies globally on carbon management, including calculating carbon footprints, advising how best to reduce emissions and how to develop an effective carbon offsetting strategy.

The Green Quadrant Sustainability Business Consulting 2011 report is based on an analysis of interviews with buyers of consultancy services who together represent $214 billion in revenues, responses by suppliers to an extensive questionnaire, and interviews with leaders in the field of sustainability consulting.

Carbon Clear is included among the 14 most active companies in the sustainability market in the UK, affirming the strides it has made in raising its profile and increasing awareness of the business advantages of developing robust and innovative carbon management strategies.

Carbon Clear is considered part of the Specialists' Quadrant that “excel with strong technical expertise and solid internal sustainability performance credentials”. Positive characteristics shared by the firms in the Specialists’ Quadrant include a track record in delivering carbon management projects; compelling, domain-specific technical expertise; impressive internal commitments to sustainability and a focus on building a significant market presence in sustainability.

The report highlights how more respondents to the survey have hired specialist energy, sustainability and environmental consultants such as Carbon Clear than mainstream management consulting firms such as McKinsey or Booz & Company.

Carbon Clear CEO Mark Chadwick noted that Carbon Clear, despite being the youngest company in the Quadrant, is working with some of the world's largest companies. He believes this reflects the fact that the market is responsive to sustainability consultants able to prove themselves through a strong track record and the ability to develop products and services quickly as the market evolves.
