San Francisco, California (PRWEB) December 01, 2011
During this holiday season, America’s largest retailers have invested millions of dollars in Black Friday deals and Cyber Monday promotions to attract deal-conscious shoppers.
Pitted against the e-commerce juggernauts of Amazon, Walmart and Best Buy, how do small online retailers compete on equal footing?
Deal Décor, a start-up that claims to be the Groupon of furniture, has decided to face the competition head-on.
Best Furniture Deals Online
Two months ago, Deal Décor launched its first deal with huge success: a 3 piece sofa sectional for $399. The San Francisco start-up was able to beat Amazon and Wal-Mart prices by over $300 for the same item.
According to CEO Gregory Lok, “Our customers not only value the price they are paying for an item, but also the value of knowing how much the same product cost elsewhere.”
By offering these price comparisons, Deal Décor is helping customers make informed buying decisions.
Passing on the Savings
How is Deal Décor able to offer furniture at such steep discounts?
Lok explains, “Good deals come to those who wait. Deal Dêcor places an order with a factory only when enough buys are placed from customers in a region. This reduces inventory and transportion costs, enabling us to pass on these savings to our customers in return for waiting a extra few extra weeks for their purchase.”
Rewarding Deal Décor Fans
To celebrate the holiday season, Deal Décor is beginning a promotion to give away the bedroom set currently offered on the site. In order to activate this giveaway, 35 bedroom sets will need to be sold to fill one container of product. One fan will be chosen from Deal Décor's fanpage to receive this deal for free once a container is filled. The 5 piece bedroom set is offered on Deal Décor for $899 and is valued on Amazon.com for $1807. Visit Deal Décor's Facebook page for more details.
