Philadelphia, PA (PRWEB) December 01, 2011
The Philadelphia Business Journal Women of Distinction Awards program highlights the most influential women in the region. Anita Garimella Andrews, CEO of Sepiida, was honored as this year’s “Rising Star” -- an honor reserved for businesswomen aged 35 years or younger who have made significant contributions to their community and the business landscape of Philadelphia.
Mrs. Garimella Andrews joins the ranks of other influential Philadelphia businesswomen receiving the award this year, such as Lifetime Achievement winner Lynne Abraham, former DA and Lisa Nutter, wife of the current mayor and president of Philadelphia Academies.
This year’s honorees were chosen on the basis of their direct impact on Philadelphia business, as well as their community contributions. Winners were honored at a special dinner held on November 29, 2011 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown Hotel.
As part of the event, a raffle was held in support of the National Association of Women Business Owners as part of the event. This yearly event provides an incredible experience and an exceptional networking opportunity for all attendees.
Winners were also profiled in a special print supplement for the November 25th issue of the Philadelphia Business Journal. Individuals interested in learning more about the event can visit the Philadelphia Business Journal website. The site also includes a complete list of this year’s winners.
