State Prosecutors, District Court Judges, and Clergymen are encouraged to provide support to the program through sanctions and fees imposed on DUI/DWI offenders.

With grant application season upon them, executives at Will Be Designated Driver, Inc. seeks to procure letters of support from every State, County, municipal, business, tax payer, and any person with interest in supporting their designated driver program, across the U.S.
The organization is seeking National support from alcohol establishments, corporations, citizens, and State and Community funding for growth initiatives. These support constituents are sought on a National level as the Program builds the capacity of Will Be D.D. Chapters across the United States.
The Will Be D.D. program is based on strong leadership, sound policy development, excellent program management and design, effective strategic planning and implementation, and a cost-effective communication program. Will Be D.D. is also data driven. Their focus is on geographic areas that are most at risk; however, effectuates non-discriminatory program policies by not imposing limitations to just “problem areas.”
NHTSA requires State grant recipients to guide their activities by identifying problem areas; however, from the perspective of the public, alcohol-impaired driving and traffic safety programs should be everywhere.
Designated driver programs are very high risk for the individual, with the risk – high costs follow. A traffic safety program such as this needs adequate resources to cover those high-risk costs associated with the life-line of the program itself. The Will Be Designated Driver Program specifically meets the NHTSA Traffic Safety Program Core areas of Alcohol and Other Drug Countermeasures, Safe Communities Supplemental areas, and Traffic Records support. The mutual goal for each State is to reduce the number of alcohol impaired and/or driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs related crashes, fatalities, injuries and permanent disabilities, is also the goal of the Program.
Among other strategies, one way the Will Be D.D. Program measures performance is through State, County and zip code tallys for the number of alcohol-impaired drivers removed from the roadways in each area. These numbers are reported weekly by each Chapter. To see the current total, scroll down to the bottom of the home page.
