LONDON (PRWEB UK) 6 December 2011
LexisNexis UK (http://www.lexisnexis.co.uk), a leading provider of content and technology solutions, today announced the finalists of the inaugural Pay & Benefits Awards 2012. Judges have carefully selected companies and individuals who have achieved high standards and innovation in pay and benefits provision.
Payroll and HR industry specialists and providers, such as Albany Software, Cascade HR, NorthgateArinso and Ceridian, are also on the shortlist for the awards, which will take place at the prestigious 8 Northumberland, London, on Thursday, 9 February 2012.
“The shortlist shows there is a genuine commitment across a range of sectors to design and develop new and worthwhile pay and benefits packages for employees,” said Pay & Benefits editor Kavitha Sivasubramaniam. “The days of simple take home pay packets are gone. Some of the innovative approaches we have seen in the award entries illustrate that, in a time of economic challenge, businesses and pay and benefits providers come up with new ways of rewarding staff and ensuring pay processes are improved.”
Sivasubramaniam continued: “It is encouraging to see that not only are the big, household names placing high value on their payroll and human resources teams, but the less well-known companies are also investing time and development in this area.”
The shortlisted candidates fall into eight of 11 categories covering individual and team achievements in the industry. The winners of Professional of the Year, Career Accomplishment Award for reward and benefits professionals and the Strathearn Award for Lifetime Achievement in payroll will be announced on the night.
“The entries were of an impeccably high standard, and deciding on the shortlisted candidates was very difficult for the judges, who kindly gave up their time to help us with our inaugural event,” Sivasubramaniam added.
