America’s Byways Resource Center and its newest marketing alliance partner, Rand McNally, recently announced an inaugural initiative to help build public awareness of the unique touring experiences on America’s Byways® (http://www.byways.org). This collection of 150 routes designated by the U.S. Secretary of Transportation will now be featured on the highly visible Best of the Road® (http://www.bestoftheroad.com) blog from Rand McNally and USA Today.
“This is a terrific opportunity to gain visibility for the America’s Byways brand and the individual byway routes,” said Michelle Johnson, Director, America’s Byways Resource Center. “It’s also a terrific way for Rand McNally and USA Today to introduce their readers to truly American travel treasures.”
More than a year of discussions and preparation preceded this special media opportunity. The next major step requires the individual byways to submit their route itineraries and points of interest to Best of the Road. Viewers can expect to see America’s Byways featured in the next six months.
