A Pennsylvania doctor has developed a new product to help make traveling less stressful by making it easier for drivers and passengers to relieve their bladders without leaving their vehicles. The newly launched product – dubbed “The Rest Stop When There's No Stop In Sight” – is called The GoPilot (http://www.TheGoPilot.com). It is available from Kolter Enterprises, LLC, and is configured for men, though a female version is expected to be available soon.
“The GoPilot is a portable hand-held urinal for travelers and motorists,” explained its inventor, Dr. James Kolter, a well-respected physician from eastern Pennsylvania, who sees the product as an ideal addition to in-car emergency kits for truckers, campers, boaters, hunters, traveling sales representatives, and families on road trips, tailgaters and pilots.
Dr. Kolter recognized the need for such a product while he was stuck in a traffic jam on the expressway just outside Philadelphia. “There was no place to go, and the traffic was at a standstill,” he said. “Thus the idea for The GoPilot was born.”
As he shared the idea of his innovative solution, he got encouraging feedback from friends, family and even strangers, who offered their own personal stories of how useful a product like The GoPilot would be. “The need is as universal as there are circumstances,” the doctor explained. “We all must void, and we all have been ‘potty-trained.’ Sometimes we just really need that potty!”
The GoPilot is approximately 9 inches long and 6 inches wide. It consists of a durable, quart-sized container with a flexible accordion-style neck inlet and a convenient tethered cap. Antiseptic cleanser is included for easy cleanup and sanitizing.
“It is very light weight and comes in a cloth bag that makes storage under a car seat easy,” its inventor said, “and the bag also makes a great privacy shield.”
The handy product is currently being made available at a special “Introductory Offer” price of $29.95 – plus shipping, handling and applicable taxes.
“The GoPilot is also very helpful for people with an overactive bladder or prostate condition,” Dr. Kolter said. “Furthermore, it’s ideal for any medical condition that limits mobility, such as post-operative recovery, chronic neurological illnesses –like Parkinson's disease, stroke or ALS – or any condition that confines one to a wheelchair or bed.”
