Land O’Lakes Donates $100,000 to California-based Food Programs

The Land O’Lakes Foundation recently presented five direct grants totaling $100,000 to five California-based food banks/feeding programs to help alleviate hunger for families throughout the region. The donations are part of the Land O’Lakes’ Feeding Our Communities initiative dedicated to helping alleviate hunger locally, nationally and internationally.

As a national, farmer-owned cooperative, Land O’Lakes is committed to helping the growing number of people struggling to put food on their table, particularly in communities where we have employees and families” said Foundation Director Lydia Botham.

The Land O’Lakes Foundation recently presented five direct grants totaling $100,000 to five California-based food banks/feeding programs to help alleviate hunger for families throughout the region. The donations are part of the Land O’Lakes’ Feeding Our Communities initiative dedicated to helping alleviate hunger locally, nationally and internationally.

Land O’Lakes presented grants to the following organizations:

  •     Episcopal Church of the Savior - $17,500
  •     Foodlink for Tulare County, Inc. - $25,000
  •     Glenn County Human Resources/Food Bank - $20,000
  •     St. Vincent De Paul Center - $17,500
  •     United Way of Tulare County - $20,000

“On behalf of Land O’Lakes and the Land O’Lakes Foundation, I am proud to present these contributions to food programs throughout California, which will help combat the devastating effects of hunger in our community,” said Stephen Mancebo, member of the Land O’Lakes Board of Directors and the Land O’Lakes Foundation Board of Directors.
