Hyatt Regency Houston, recently transformed following a $50-million renovation, has earned ConventionSouth Magazine’s 2011 New & Renovated Meeting Site Readers’ Choice Award. This prestigious, annual award recognizes the top new or recently renovated meeting facilities in the South for excellence in service and amenities.

23 venues were selected to receive this honor from hundreds of nominations. Winners were carefully chosen by ConventionSouth’s readers - meeting professionals, event planners and industry experts.

The comprehensive transformation of the city’s second-largest hotel included the renovation of 947 guestrooms, a redesigned LobbiBar, and 71,300 square feet of refreshed meeting space. The project also included the opening of Texas' first Shula's Steak House and Einstein Bros. Bagels and more.
