Dallas, TX (PRWEB) December 02, 2011
Locavore favorite Company Café announced its second location will open Tuesday, December 6th, next to the Katy Trail at 3136 Routh Street. This expansion comes less than eight months after the first Company Café opened on historic Lower Greenville Avenue.
Signaling the success of the original location, Company Café on the Trail focuses on great-tasting food with a healthy, organic twist. Diners familiar with Company Café will find the same dedication to local sourcing and gluten-free indulgences. The new location features fan favorites from the Greenville location like the Deep Bowl, Gluten-Free Chicken and Waffles and delicious Gluten-Free Cakes. Customers will also discover a number of new dishes including Rock Shrimp Tacos and a variety of smoked fish and meat offerings from the in-house wood smoker, a Little Red Smokehouse from J&R Manufacturing.
“Company Café was created with the goal of making local, natural fare accessible in Dallas,” said co-owner Stephen White. “That same ‘go local’ philosophy extends to matching the environment and menu to our new location on the Katy Trail.”
Company Café on the Trail’s refreshing, health-conscious approach to food complements a full bar featuring house-infused vodka cocktails and a large patio overlooking the Trail.
Coffee Lovers, Rejoice
With a full bar and a little more elbow room came the opportunity to deliver exceptional coffee. White turned to supplier Oak Cliff Coffee Roasters’ Shannon Neffendorf for a coffee machine recommendation.
“I wanted the best, and Shannon introduced me to the La Marzocco Strada MP,” said White. “It’s the Maserati of coffee makers. We’re excited about the quality coffee we can craft with this amazing machine.”
Company Café on the Trail will be home to one of only a handful of Stradas in the United States and the second in Dallas-Fort Worth.
Farm (in)to Table
Company Café on the Trail takes the farm-to-table trend to the next level as the interior is adorned with reclaimed wood from old barns obtained from Homestead Heritage in Elm Mott, Texas. Their artisans also beautifully handcrafted each of the indoor and outdoor tables.
Just as the interior adds to Company Café’s local sourcing story, the Katy Trail menu also adds to the company’s extensive list of locally sourced products. Local suppliers include The Cultured Cup, Oak Cliff Coffee Roasters, Homestead Heritage grass-fed beef, Double B Poultry, Wholesome Foods Bakery and more.
