Oxford, UK (PRWEB UK) 3 December 2011
Past Times announces that it has been chosen as the official retailer of an exclusive range of Downton Abbey memorabilia, available online immediately and set to hit shelves across the 167 stores in December.
The Downton Abbey series which has won four Emmy awards has also become famous for its distinctive, pithy comments which have fast become household sayings. Show stopping lines, such as ‘You’ll find there’s never a dull moment in this house’ and ‘What is a weekend’, have been chosen by Past Times to adorn the exclusive range of mugs and cushions, set to be best sellers.
Joining other products from the range at Past Times including the DVD, book and calendar, this new exclusive range of slogan mugs and cushions will provide Downton Abbey’s 10 million fans with the only place to get their much needed fix over the Christmas period, until the series returns next year.
Past Times is well known for its range of ‘keep calm and carry on’ products, which have proven hugely popular. The Downton Abbey range will carry on this tradition of fantastic British slogan gifts at Past Times, with a second wider collection set to launch in April 2012. The collection is expected to be 40 products by the Summer.
As well as exclusive quote mugs and cushions, shoppers can also treat their Downton Abbey-loving friends and family to the full Downton Abbey Series 1 on DVD (£12.50), Downton Abbey Series 2 DVD (£19.99) Official Wall Calendar (£7.99) or The World of Downton Abbey Book (£20.00) at Past Times.
Penny Tunnell, Product Director at Past Times, says. “Brits have always been known for their love of a good popular drama and since it burst onto our screens in 2010, Downton Abbey quickly became a traffic stopper series. People are quick to pick up on standout quotes and sayings from their favourite movies and TV shows and often like to adopt them into their lives, which is why we decided to make the popular Downton slogans such a big feature in the new range.
Adding to the box set, the book and the calendar, we anticipate the exclusive range of mugs and cushions will fly off the selves, making great stocking fillers and Christmas gifts - I’m sure that Lady Grantham would love a mug of her own for afternoon tea and Past Times will be sending mugs of course to the cast.
