The annual award ceremony, which took place Old Billingsgate in London, saw Expedia shortlisted alongside leading household names such as Apple, Innocent, Fosters, Help for Heroes, British Airways, Jaguar Land Rover, London 2012, and even The Royal Family! More than 21,000 marketers and members of the public voted, ultimately selecting John Lewis as the overall winner of the award.
Andrew Warner, Senior Marketing Director of Expedia EMEA says; "Expedia.co.uk is thrilled to have been recognised at this year’s Brand of the Year awards and we are proud that industry experts and consumers alike voted for us. In our recent campaigns we have highlighted the people behind the brand and it is a real testament to all of these people who are genuinely passionate about travel and creating the best experience possible for our customers.”
Earlier this year, in conjunction with the launch of the new ad campaign, Expedia.co.uk announced its commitment to working with its customers to create the best possible tools and solutions to introduce the future of travel.
“Receiving this accolade highlights the success of our focus on working closely with our customers to better address their needs. This philosophy runs throughout our business: it covers everything from working with our customers to identify the scenarios in our TV ads to the design of our new ski holiday planning tools,” added Warner.
