The Introduction of Pronto’s ROC™ Technology Helps Company Achieve Acknowledgment for Accelerated Growth and Continued Success

Pronto Energy Group announced it received a technology recognition award by CleanTech North. The company was recognized for its unique and outstanding technology in the area of energy from waste. The Rapid Organic Convertor (ROC™) utilizes patented technology to batch process all carbon based organic waste, generating thermal and electrical power at unprecedented low costs. Suitable for multiple feedstock’s, even with moisture content of up to 65%, with ultra-low GHG emissions, the ROC™ addresses many of the limitations faced by the energy from waste industry today.

“CleanTech North’s mandate is to accelerate growth of Canadian cleantech companies, said Henry Vehovec, Executive Director for CleanTech North. “This award pays tribute to Pronto Energy’s innovation and breakthroughs in this very important part of the renewable energy ecosystem.”

The CleanTech North selected award winners by an advisory panel of Canada’s foremost authorities on cleantech, based on proprietary technology; market potential, domestically and internationally; quantifiable sustainability benefits, such as energy reduction, environment improvement, greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reduction, carbon footprint cutback; scalability of business model; and management team.
"I am honored that Pronto Energy has received this acknowledgement”, said Del Dunford, President and CEO for Pronto Energy Group. “We attribute success to our patented technology and innovative approach to organic waste processing. The ROC™ was designed from the ground up to solve a global problem; the ever increasing volumes of landfill and hazardous waste, as well as depleting availability and increased cost in energy. Our unique approach solves several problems at one time and is universally applicable in a single solution.”

The ROC™ Utilizes a revolutionary two stage process, using radiant heat to rapidly decompose organic based waste and generate significant thermal energy which can also be converted to on site electricity. As a scalable solution, a ROC™ plant can be applied to agriculture, food producers, manufacturers, hospitals, forestry or municipalities alike. The ability to accept multiple feedstock’s in a single deployment enables aggregation of local waste streams (including sewage sludge) without sizing or drying.
