RSC stands for Rewarding Student Commitment. Parents oversee and administer a program that provides their student up to $300 for completing important steps in college prep.

RSC Your College Prep Expert launches nationwide today beginning at 9:00am Eastern Time. Counselors will begin enrolling 8th-12th grade students in the RSC program, which combines personality tests, SAT and ACT practice materials, a research database featuring more than 4,000 colleges, hundreds of video tutorials, career planning, and financial aid assistance. RSC also offers a unique Rewards Program that motivates underclassmen to pursue their college and career goals through academic achievement and personal growth.

Families who call 800-898-INFO (800-898-4636) will be given the opportunity to watch the company’s Free Report on the problems plaguing college prep and learn more about which of RSC’s three options is right for their student:

1.    Early Prep – for 8th, 9th, and 10th graders. Early Prep includes the basics of college and career prep, advanced SAT and ACT prep materials, college research and more.
2.    Advanced Prep – for 10th, 11th and early 12th graders. This accelerated program helps upperclassmen make up for lost time. It includes RSC’s thorough Paperwork Services program.
3.    Paperwork Services – for high-school seniors who need financial aid assistance. This complete program covers everything from the completion of financial aid forms, to forms review, possible appeals and acceptance.

RSC stands for “Rewarding Student Commitment,” the mantra at the heart of their Rewards Program. Parents oversee and administer a program that provides their student up to $300 for completing important steps in college prep.

“Our Rewards Program encourages students, under their parents’ supervision, to stay actively engaged in their education. RSC firmly believes that college planning should be a family activity because studies reveal that students do better when their parents take an interest in their schoolwork, even in high school,” says John Braat, Executive Director of Student Enrollment.

Overseeing RSC’s daily operations and financial aid assistance is Maura Kastberg, Executive Director of Student Services. Ms. Kastberg has spent more than 15 years helping students prepare for college and career, and in 2011 was named a college prep expert by the McGraw Hill-backed Unigo website.

“RSC is a program that helps students and their families prepare for college. We’ve gone to great lengths to see that parents have a role in their child’s education, because it really is very important that parents stay involved all the way through high school,” says Ms. Kastberg.

RSC plans to maintain a strong online presence to keep students fully involved in their education. Online programs, video tutorials, electronic updates and regular student service are keys to RSC’s one-of-a-kind program.

Parents interested in enrolling their students in any of the above programs are encouraged to call 800-898-INFO after 9:00am Eastern Time today.

RSC Your College Prep Expert prepares students for college and career through an original online program of college research, SAT & ACT prep, financial aid assistance, and more.
