Author Dorothy “Deja” Richardson Nelson has dedicated her life to the pursuit of universal truth. Learning from her spiritual teachers, including Swami Premanda of Kriya yoga and Master Kirpal Singh of Surat-Shad yoga, Nelson has taken lessons from both eastern and western philosophies to form a roadmap to the Universal Self.
In her debut book In the Valley of the Stars (published by AuthorHouse), Nelson pairs photos taken from the Hubble Space Telescope with her original writings on love, fulfillment, self-realization and transcendence.
“All the writings in this book are the outcome of all the beautiful souls and teachers who shared with me their inner-light,” says Nelson. “I pray that what I have been given can now be passed on to others on the Path of Enlightenment.”
During her studies in eastern philosophy, Nelson lived and studied in an ashram outside of New Delhi, India. One night, while at the ashram, she was inspired to write In the Valley of the Stars.
“I stayed awake one night watching the stars above,” remembers Nelson, “they looked like you could reach out and touch them with your fingertips. I truly was in the valley of the stars. Thus, the title of this book was born.”
Nelson hopes that her book will help inspire other seekers on the road to enlightenment. “This book truly represents the Universal Self within.”
