Guidebook for Widows Receives 7 Awards

“There is clearly a need for this type of resource and I am humbled to be able to provide it,” said Dr. Rehl.

ACA, the only community of fee-only financial planners focused on holistic planning strategies, announced that Moving Forward on Your Own: A Financial Guidebook for Widows, by Kathleen Rehl, Ph.D., CFP®, has received two more awards, for a total of seven awards.

The most recent recognition comes from, the premier online magazine and review website for mainstream and independent publishing houses. The Guidebook was chosen as:

  •     Winner in the Women’s Issues category
  •     Finalist in the Business: Personal Finance category

“The Guidebook was among some great company in this competition and I am thrilled that it has been recognized by such an outstanding organization,” said Dr. Rehl. “There is clearly a need for this type of resource and I am humbled to be able to provide it.”

The Guidebook integrates basic financial information with self-reflective exercises to encourage self-confidence about money issues. The format it is intended to serve as a catalyst to help women make progress after a spouse's death.
