Rapid first year growth outpaces projections and drives talent pool expansion for San Diego based ScaleMatrix

With the groundbreaking innovations happening here at ScaleMatrix, I knew I wanted to be a part of the team.

Southern California-based Cloud Computing and High Density Hosting Provider – ScaleMatrix – has experienced exponential growth during the first year of operation, following the opening the company’s flagship green Data Center and corporate headquarters in San Diego.

The rapid growth is attributed to a laser focus on building the company’s flexible service portfolio, which includes premium Data Center services and cutting edge Cloud enabled hosting options. While the rush to leverage the scalability and cost advantages of cloud technology is at the forefront of the company’s sales efforts, the ability to seamlessly stitch together a variety of services from traditional high-density hosting to robust private cloud environments has been a winning proposal for many ScaleMatrix clients. This formula has led to early successes in large enterprise sales as well as a number of key verticals such as Life Science and Finance.

With demand at an all-time high, additions to the ScaleMatrix team have become commonplace. In recent weeks, the company has expanded their reach with the addition of two new sales team members, one each in both the East Coast and Central US regions.

Excessive growth has prompted changes to the company’s internal management team as well, with Chris Orlando, former Vice President advancing to a C-level position within the company as Chief Sales & Marketing Officer. Chris’s years of data center management and client solutions engineering has given the company the upper hand on delivering services with maximum efficiency while maintaining the highest levels of service.

As one of a handful of Data Centers to maintain an armed security presence, and one of an even more select few who provide biometric security at the cabinet level, security is at the cornerstone of the ScaleMatrix core offering. The company’s newest staffing addition, Daniel Zeiler – Director of Network Operations and Corporate Compliance, underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to operational excellence. Mr. Zeiler brings years of security, operations, and compliance experience and is one of few individuals to be both a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) as well being certified in Risk and Information Controls (CRISC). Zeiler focuses on secure service structure and delivery with a strong emphasis on usability and compliance to published standards. “With the groundbreaking innovations happening here at ScaleMatrix, I knew I wanted to be a part of the team. Cloud computing and high density hosting brings a new set of challenges to the table,     which is always exciting. I am confident that we will be able to deliver services at a much higher standard than our competition”, said Zeiler.

With the clock ticking on calendar year 2011, ScaleMatrix team members and the ever growing list of ScaleMatrix clients eagerly anticipate a number of exciting announcements scheduled for the upcoming year. In 2012, the company looks to expand its service portfolio with a number of complimentary offerings focused on resource management and bringing more enterprise class capabilities to the SMB market.
