Michael Hanna, son of Kenneth Hanna – the founder of Ken’s Steak House, has been cooking Italian dishes for the past 40 years. After some kind prodding from his wife, Elsa, to write down the recipes, he has written the cookbook, 3 Dozen Reasons to be an Italian Cookbook. The instructions are detailed, concise, and easy to follow – from heating the pan to presenting the meal on the table. It also includes a grocery list with items that are frequently used in the recipes and are strongly recommended to have in your kitchen at all times. The cookbook is designed to give every cook confidence.

Michael grew up watching his parents and grandparents cook. “They used the same ingredients they had in Genoa, Italy and didn’t take short cuts. It was great training,” reflected Hanna.

The recipe of the month club is not your ordinary dish. Michael has taken an innovative approach and is not just providing a recipe for an entrée but he is providing detailed directions on how to prepare an entire meal starting with the soup, appetizer, main course including side dishes and goes as far as making a wine recommendation. “I wanted to provide people the opportunity for the full experience” shared Hanna.
