Nine Catapult Learning students pursuing their GED joined Mayor Blanco for breakfast at the Passaic Workforce Development Center to discuss the importance of continuing education.

As part of Catapult Learning’s Career Starters Program, which began in 2002 to help high school dropouts ages 16-21 continue their education, Passaic, NJ Mayor, Dr. Alex Blanco met with students over breakfast to offer encouragement and share his story. Passaic News Channel, NecioTV was on-site to film the meeting.

“This isn’t the first time Mayor Blanco has showed his support for the program and shared his story with the students,” said Ray Offenburger, Catapult’s Regional Director. “He has developed close relationships with the staff and the students, and has attended several events including the graduation ceremony this past June.”
