Superbreak, the city break specialist, is now offering customers the chance to book Eurostar breaks online via superbreak.com. Since April 2010, the product has been available through the company’s Yorkshire based call centre and has already achieved considerable success since the breaks went on sale. A direct link to the Eurostar booking system is now in operation allowing customers the option of booking Eurostar packages online to 14 European cities, including Paris, Lille, Brussels, Bruges, Amsterdam and Disneyland Paris.
Over the past 12 weeks, Superbreak’s Internet Development team have worked on integrating the Eurostar booking system across both the Superbreak consumer and trade websites. The whole process started with usability tests on the new ‘concept’ design to ensure the company was heading in the right direction. Initial feedback from the travel agent community has been very positive praising the ease of use and effectiveness of the Eurostar feature.
Superbreak customers will now have complete flexibility to tailor make their own Eurostar break choosing from 14 European destinations, UK rail tickets to either Ebbsfleet, St Pancras or Ashford International, a range of accommodation options and duration of their stay. With Paris only 2 hours 15 minutes from London St. Pancras and packages starting from £109 per person, the continent has never been closer. Customers travelling in larger groups or those simply wishing to purchase Eurostar Breaks as a gift can now do so via the Eurostar Breaks landing page.
Superbreak has developed a strong pedigree as a transport operator offering hotel and rail packages on the East Coast Mainline, East Anglia Line and East Midlands Line and has recently developed partnerships with First Great Western and Grand Central. As with all Superbreak bookings, customers have the opportunity to add rail from any UK mainline station to their destination of choice when booking a hotel. In 2011 to date the tour operator booked over 24,000 customers onto a rail package.
Talking about the new relationship, Chris Hagan - Head of Overseas, Transport and Ancillaries Product at Superbreak commented: ‘The customer reaction to the new online Eurostar functionality has exceeded our expectations and we are convinced there is no easier way to book a Eurostar short break.
