O Ent, Inc is bringing the winning Carolina Music Awards format to Georgia in 2012 with the GA Music Awards. Nominations and ticket sales are being taken now, advertisements will start on Xfinity in January 2012, and the nominations party is scheduled. Celebrity guests and awards presenters are coming together for a spectacular show to honor emerging talent in Georgia.

Making the musical transition from the Carolinas to Georgia is no easy feat, but O Ent, Inc. has chosen to make that easier by getting off to a great start with sponsors and musicians. O Ent, Inc is taking the concept that has worked so well for the Carolina Music Awards, and bringing it to Georgia, expanding the opportunity to recognize and reward great music.

In an effort to make sure the opportunity to participate in the awards reaches as many musicians as possible, O Ent, Inc is working with Comcast, who will release GA Music Awards commercials later in January 2012. “We are honored and humbled by the Comcast support of Georgia music and the GA Music Awards. This relationship will give musicians from all over the state of Georgia the opportunity for unprecedented exposure,” states Omar McCallop, “A select few musicians will also have the opportunity to release their video on XFINITY On Demand. We look forward to a long fruitful relationship as Comcast and the GA Music Awards support and honor Georgia music.”

McCallop, owner of O Ent, Inc., is founder of the Award Show Network. McCallop works with musicians and noticed that there was no opportunity to be recognized as an emerging artist. One short year later, the Carolina Music Awards was a reality, and a plan in place to implement the format in states that tend to produce a lot of musicians and bands, or have a lot of unrecognized talent. The awards shows recognize all kinds of music, from rock to R&B to bluegrass and country, and everything in between. Both the Carolina and GA Music Awards are accepting nominations, with plans to announce the GA Music Awards nominees on March 9, 2012 at the Gold Room in Atlanta. Nominations for the GA Music Awards are taken until March 1, 2012, and after the nominees are announced the voting will begin to determine the winners. Winners are then chosen by popular vote and industry panel review.

The timing for the Comcast support couldn’t be better for the GA Music Awards. McCallop hopes the commercials will ramp up the number of nominations and increase visibility for the show, and decided to offer a special holiday ticket price via Ticket Alternative to reach music fans. “We’ve had some really successful events leading up to the main show, and everything is lining up just the way we planned. We’re excited to be able to present the awards in June at The Buckhead Theatre,” says Christi Chambers, GA Music Awards Director and President of C&C Entertainment, “We have a wonderful group of sponsors in place and are thankful to each and every one for their continued support.”
