“I can’t believe I won! I love the new Volvo S60 R-Design and I can’t wait to drive it!” said Jessica Thorpe, a nursing student at Lock Haven University.

Jessica Thorpe, 24, of State College, Pa., will now own a little piece of Edward Cullen after winning Volvo’s “Journey to the Wedding” Contest. Thorpe drives away in a shiny new Volvo S60 R-Design – the exact car Edward drove in Summit Entertainment’s “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1.”

“I can’t believe I won! I love the new Volvo S60 R-Design and I can’t wait to drive it!” said Jessica Thorpe, a nursing student at Lock Haven University. “My current car is 14-years-old and has 193,000 miles on it, so winning such a sleek, stylish and powerful car is a wonderful, early Christmas present. I’m so grateful for this once-in-a-lifetime prize of a new, luxury car. It means so much to me.”

Nearly 100,000 people from across the United States participated in the “Journey to the Wedding” online game. In the game, participants made their way to the wedding of Edward and Bella by completing a series of three challenges. Thorpe finished the final challenge in the shortest amount of time, winning the game to take home the actual 325-horsepower Volvo S60 R-Design that Edward drove in the film. With a perfect marriage of style and substance, Volvo’s S60 R-Design features best-in-class acceleration, performance and fuel efficiency, making it Volvo’s most dynamic and sporty model.

The “Journey to the Wedding” contest was just one of the Volvo online promotions developed by Euro RSCG New York surrounding the fourth installment of The Twilight Saga. Brandy Hogan, 26, of Albany, N.Y., won Volvo’s “What Would You Wear?” Facebook contest and two tickets to the world premiere of “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” in Los Angeles. On Nov. 14, Hogan, and her sister, Nicolette Boston, had an unforgettable night walking the red carpet and meeting some members of the cast.

Fans who didn’t win the online game but still want their own Volvo S60 R-Design can visit a local Volvo retailer or go to http://www.volvocars.com/us/all-cars/volvo-s60/Pages/default.aspx to build their own. Edward's S60 T6 R-Design is all-wheel drive with an automatic transmission and features Saville Grey metallic exterior, off-black leather interior, 18-inch diamond-cut Xion alloy wheels, sport chassis, active dual Xenon headlights, rear spoiler, climate package, multimedia package, BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) and keyless drive.

The next chapter of “The Twilight Saga” will be released as two separate films with the first of the two – “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1” – having been released in theatres on Nov. 18 and the second coming to theatres Nov. 16, 2012.
