We think the future of ‘deals’ will be all about applying different forms of incentives continuously and automatically across the entire customer relationship cycle
Portland, OR (PRWEB) December 13, 2011
After a national pilot program with more than 50 clients and 15,000 mobile promotions distributed to consumers, Mobilize.Me is beginning a national launch campaign to more than 25 US cities in 2012. The company launches its first city, Portland, OR, this month.
The Mobilize.Me platform combines deals, loyalty and customer feedback in a proprietary marketing program that privately and automatically distributes the best deals to a business’s best customers.
The service diverges from typical loyalty programs and daily deal services, which focus narrowly on one transaction in the customer relationship cycle, such as getting an unknown customer to try out a business or rewarding repeat purchases with punchcards. Instead, Mobilize.Me uses both push and pull incentives to capture a new customer’s interest, stimulate repeat business and develop higher value, long-term customer relationships.
“We think the future of ‘deals’ will be all about applying different forms of incentives continuously and automatically across the entire customer relationship cycle, from initial interest through advocacy,” said Byron Binkley, Mobilize.Me’s founder and CEO. “Daily deals are on a collision course with loyalty programs and socially aware customer relationship platforms like Yelp, and the outcome is going to be incentive programs that build long-term, lasting customer relationships - automatically.”
The company’s pilot program included more than 50 clients in their launch city and more than 15,000 private promotions have been issued to consumers on behalf of local businesses through the platform. The initial businesses, which were primarily bars and restaurants, were hand-chosen by the company though the platform is now open to all businesses.
Mobilize.Me enables businesses to sign up for the service directly at their website and begin using the platform immediately. Additionally, consumers can nominate businesses they would like to see using Mobilize.Me by adding “Wishlists” on the website. Based on the response by consumers during the pilot program, the company believes that advocates of local businesses will play a major role in the adoption of the platform.
The platform serves consumers and businesses in distinctively different ways.
Consumers opt in to receive short-term, interactive promotions from their favorite businesses. Once registered, consumers can also control when and how often they receive offers from individual businesses and all businesses combined. For example, consumers can elect to see as many deals as possible from a favorite business, while requesting they only receive one offer per week from all other businesses combined. If they want to get better deals and perks, they can send businesses private notes through Mobilize.Me, sharing suggestions, feedback and other details of their relationship with the business such as how often they return and whether they have referred friends.
Businesses create incentive-based promotional campaigns and specify distribution settings that govern when promotions can and can’t run, and dictate how much total promotional activity is allowed. Mobilize.Me requires virtually zero ongoing maintenance effort from business owners - a benefit that proved to be popular with small businesses during the pilot program.
The company filed a patent in September to protect their proprietary promotion engine, which acts as an intermediary between businesses and customers, intelligently and automatically distributing different types of promotional offers. Promotions sent via Mobilize.Me are private and only sent to a few customers at a time. Additionally, customers must respond to activate offers. This interactive feedback allows Mobilize.Me to precisely target customers and stay within a business’s goals.
Businesses will typically create a variety of promotions, ranging from standard discounts to privileged access, such as an extended Happy Hour or a free, custom appetizer direct from the chef. A simple discount promotion for a restaurant may read, “Get $10 off when you spend $30 or more! This offer will be sent to a maximum of 8 people, the first 2 to Reply YES get it! Good through Wed 12/14.” After a customer responds to activate a deal, Mobilize.Me generates a unique reward code that customers present to the business to redeem the offer.
MobilizeMe, Inc. was founded in February 2010 and launched nationally in December 2011. The company has created a platform in response to consumer demand for timely deals from businesses they trust. Mobilize.Me provides businesses with a streamlined, loyalty-based marketing tool that cultivates stronger relationships with their most important customers.
