Last year American Income Life Insurance Company employees donated a whopping 15,000 pounds of nonperishable food items to the Central Texas Food for Families Campaign, and employees were determined to surpass that goal for 2011. Their determination paid off! Employees increased their donations an amazing 275 percent through a series of food-raising events held during the first two weeks of November. Delivery of food to the donation site took 21 trucks, vans, and cars. Gordon Collier, a local news anchor covering the event said, “I have been covering Food for Families for many years, and I have never seen anything like this.
