The Principals of Urban Design Group (UDG), a multidisciplinary architectural firm, are pleased to announce that Quincy Tiller III has been named to the new position of Building Information Modeling (BIM) Director for the Atlanta studio. As the BIM Director, Tiller will establish standards and continue to research and keep abreast of all Revit and BIM advancements regarding software and hardware. He will bring to the forefront his knowledge of these new tools and help each project team with the setup and direction of Revit and/or BIM. He will also act as a trainer to UDG’s staff on an ongoing basis.
Tiller earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Southern Polytechnic State University in 2002. He first joined Urban Design Group in 2006 and has since rejoined the firm in 2009, bringing nine years of experience in the design of retail, office buildings and mixed-use projects. He has participated in many aspects of the design process, including design development, master planning, site planning, construction documentation and construction administration.
Tiller’s software skills include AutoCAD, Architectural Desktop, Photoshop and Microsoft Project. He is also proficient in Revit Architecture 2009 and Revit MEP, and has provided instructional training courses in Revit MEP to architectural and engineering firms. Outside of the studio, Tiller is active with the First Baptist Church of Woodstock.
