"I love Christmas and seeing more than 30 beautifully decorated trees up close and in person not only broadened my awareness of so many wonderful charities, but brightened my holiday spirit,” said Sullivan.
Atlanta, Ga (PRWEB) December 13, 2011
The Embassy Suites Atlanta – Galleria and 30 local charitable organizations will learn how much was raised during the second annual Cobb Galleria Festival of Trees at an invite-only gala held Thursday, Dec. 15. The organization raising the most will receive an additional $1,000 from the Embassy Suites Atlanta – Galleria.
Television and radio personality Tom Sullivan will host and emcee this private event with the guest list featuring representatives from the participating charities, their sponsors and the hotel’s VIP clients.
"I love Christmas and seeing more than 30 beautifully decorated trees up close and in person not only broadened my awareness of so many wonderful charities, but brightened my holiday spirit,” said Sullivan. “This is what the season is truly about. Every tree is filled with the spirit, a story and the glory of Christmas."
This holiday season the Embassy Suites Atlanta – Galleria’s atrium was transformed into a winter wonderland adorned with 30 Christmas trees, each uniquely decorated by a participating local charitable organization. Holiday revelers and hotel guests voted for their favorite tree with a monetary donation, directly benefiting the non-profit through Dec. 15. The trees will stay up through the New Year with donations accepted until Jan. 5.
The gala will showcase the trees and provide entertainment, fine food, local choirs, musicians and performing arts organizations, with a surprise visit by Santa Claus who will personally hand each organization their donations from the Cobb Galleria Festival of Trees.
“Last year the inaugural Cobb Galleria Festival of Trees was extremely successful and raised nearly $14,000 for all of the participating charities combined,” said Dale Gustafson, director of sales and marketing, Embassy Suites Atlanta – Galleria. “The Embassy Suites Atlanta – Galleria will also award a $1,000 grand prize to the organization that raised the most in donations.”
The Embassy Suites Atlanta – Galleria and the 30 participating organizations hope to raise more than $20,000 during the second annual Festival of Trees.
