The development of Amendment II’s Rynohide™ protection promises to integrate basic shrapnel and handgun protection in a whole new range of products addressing traditional vulnerabilities.

“RynoHide™ is thin enough that it can be placed in products and locations that have not been possible before with this level of protection” says John Fierro, Amendment II’s Vice President.

Amendment II is proud to announce a new line of ballistic protection products integrating their new Rynohide™ protection. The compound is to be available immediately in the form of ultra-concealable bullet-proof vests and is also expected to be integrated into a whole range of coming products to offer a basic layer of handgun caliber protection.

Amendment II’s Rhynohide™ weighs less than five ounces for a piece of sample material the size of one foot by one foot. The compound has been tested to stop all standard handgun rounds, up to and including .357 magnum - making it comparable to an NIJ level II rating. The company expects to be integrating the RynoHide™ protection into vests, jackets, pants, helmet covers, shirt sleeves, car seats and other products as customer needs require.

Rynohide™ is an extremely light proprietary blend of bullet and shrapnel resistant materials. It represents the latest development in ballistics protection and is the thinnest available on the market.
