The Metropolitan Builders Association Announces its 2012 President, 2011 Award Recipients and Hall of Fame

The Metropolitan Builders Association (MBA), the largest home builders association in Wisconsin, has announced its 2012 President as Scott Thistle, Halen Homes LLC. Also announced were the recipients of the MBA’s 2011 awards and Hall of Fame honoree.

The Metropolitan Builders Association (MBA), the largest home builders association in Wisconsin, has announced its 2012 President as Scott Thistle, Halen Homes LLC. Also announced were the recipients of the MBA’s 2011 awards and Hall of Fame honoree.

"I am thrilled to be a part of an organization with such a dedication to ethics and professionalism within the residential building industry,” said Thistle. “I look forward to meeting the challenges of an exciting and evolving industry in the coming year."

Thistle is currently serving on the MBA’s Finance Committee, Executive Committee and the MBA Board of Directors.

In addition, the following individuals are now installed as officers of the MBA:
•President-Elect: Rod Demlang, Demlang Builders, Inc.
•Vice President: Robert Flanagan, The Flanagan Company
•Secretary-Treasurer: Joe Orendorf, Orendorf Custom Homes
•Chairman Associate: Edward Brzozowski, Journal Sentinel, Inc.
•Vice Chair Associate: Brad Dagen, Rose & de Jong Law Firm
•Secretary Treasurer Associate: Ryan Krueger, L.H. Krueger & Son Inc.
Recipients of the MBA’s 2011 awards were also announced. They went to:
•Builder of the Year: Tim O’Brien, Tim O’Brien Homes
•Associate of the Year: Edward Brzozowski, Journal Sentinel, Inc.

Frank Madden, M. D. Custom Homes, Inc., was inducted into the MBA Hall of Fame.

These announcements were made at the MBA’s Annual Installation Dinner, held at Westmoor Country Club in Brookfield, Wis., on November 30, 2011.
