Performance Marketing Company Blue Global Media Announces Hiring of General Counsel

Blue Global Media, a performance marketing company specializing in consumer financial products, announced that it has named Matt Thomson as the company’s General Counsel.

As General Counsel, Thomson will handle Blue Global Media’s in-house legal needs by overseeing day-to-day activities, managing complex corporate transactions and ensuring company compliance with state and federal regulations.

According to Blue Global Media CEO Chris Kay, the addition of Thomson is a reflection of the company’s growth and continued momentum in the performance marketing industry.

“We’re facing new challenges as a company that we haven’t encountered until now, and this is a positive sign for Blue Global Media,” Kay said. “Matt brings to us the perfect blend of Internet marketing law experience and knowledge, and we’re honored to have him join our growing team.”

Thomson expects to provide high-quality, responsive legal advice that will allow the company to achieve its short- and long-term business goals. Prior to joining Blue Global Media, Thomson worked for more than five years at Kronenberger Rosenfeld, LLP (formerly Kronenberger Burgoyne, LLP), an Internet law boutique firm in San Francisco, CA, where he counseled clients on a broad range of complex business and legal matters, including intellectual property, business development and brand protection.

“I know firsthand the business and legal needs of affiliate networks and I understand how to navigate Blue Global Media through the complicated legal issues associated with affiliate marketing,” Thomson said. “I’m excited to help Blue Global Media continue to grow and expand its market share in the affiliate network space.”

Thomson earned a bachelor’s degree in film studies from the University of California Santa Barbara, a Juris Doctor from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law, and a master’s degree in intellectual property law from the George Washington University Law School.
