Harold Camping’s Radio Website has grabbed national headlines on three separate occasions with his predictions of the date of the Rapture. Although each of his predicted Rapture dates have passed without incident – he recently apologized as reported in the Huffington Post’s article, “Harold Camping Apologizes For Faulty Rapture Predictions And Retires, Report States” – Camping’s study of chronology in the Bible is one that many researchers approach with dedication and seriousness. In Walter Robert Gouin’s new book, “Chronicles III: Moses 1490 Exodus, to Cyrus of Persia 485 BCE Chronological Hebrew History of Israel and Judah’s Patriarchs, Judges, Kings, Prophets & Governors” (published by AuthorHouse), Gouin offers readers his third of five academic works – supported by Biblical Scriptures with references of meticulous sources – examining Bible chronology.

“Chronicles III” has come about from Gouin’s longtime labor of love. For the past three and a half decades, he has worked perseveringly at researching the Bible, as he says, “for a more in-depth Proof Text of the Bible.” In this new book, he carries on that effort, offering readers a look at the chronology of the events of the Books from Genesis through Chronicles II – with relevant prophets of the times and events.

A sequel to “Exodus Solved! Tate Publishing 2011, and precursor to, tentatively titled “Ancient History of the Israelite Nation, (pending publication), Chronicles III is Gouin’s hope of glorifying God. Informative and easy-to-read Scripture, this book is excellent for anyone interested in learning more about the Bible events, than can be gleaned from reading only one Bible version.

About the Author
A native of Bonne Terre, Missouri, Walter Robert Gouin, a reborn Christian since 1972, in 1975 saw the need for a more in-depth harmony of the Gospels. So in 1975 he enrolled in a basic course in New Testament Greek at the Long Beach Bible Institute of California. As he related “It was one Saturday morning in 1975 at my kitchen table, in my second semester of Greek, I slammed my pencil down and said ‘Who do you think you are, to be able to learn Greek?’ I went to my recliner and picked up Darlene Bee's Poem Book and opened it at random. I read ‘Dear child, why are you fretting, I know your fear of languages. ... But all this will pass away under my tutelage. You will be amazed at how I have worked, and I will be glorified by your proficiency.’ I have truly been amazed at how He has worked. Now it is time for GOD to be glorified.” Since 1979 his first year hours were eight to 16, six days a week, recording his findings in a four column harmony of the persons, dates, times, directions and places that are not explicit in the four Gospels of the Bible. After 39 years in California he retired in 1993 and moved back to Missouri and completed his first two volumes, Proof Text of the Gospels, and Last Will and Testament in 1995, still pending publication. Then he began his research of the OT, and completed the three volumes in 2011.
