Dynamo, a PR and comms company that works with mobile, social, gaming and consumer tech companies.

We were looking for an agency to turn SwiftKey into one of the world’s best known technology brands, and believe that Dynamo’s focus on creativity and execution will help deliver this for us.

Dynamo ( http://dynamopr.com ) today announces that they have been appointed by TouchType Ltd., the London-based technology company behind one of the world’s most popular Android™ applications, SwiftKey™ ( http://swiftkey.net ).

SwiftKey, a keyboard for Android smartphones and tablets, uses the company’s patented natural language Fluency™ engine technology to learn a user’s writing style, correcting and predicting their text input with unrivalled accuracy. SwiftKey reduces keystrokes, and speeds up text entry on smartphones, tablets, and other devices.

Winning the account after a competitive pitch, Dynamo is now working closely with the executive team to develop the company’s brands, lead on strategy for world-wide PR and communications activities, as well as executing consumer, corporate and social PR throughout Europe.

“Dynamo impressed right from the outset during the pitch process with their extensive industry experience, their understanding of our requirements, and their original ideas,” said Joe Braidwood, Chief Marketing Officer, TouchType. “We were looking for an agency to turn SwiftKey into one of the world’s best known technology brands, and believe that Dynamo’s focus on creativity and execution will help deliver this for us.”

“TouchType have already created quite a stir amongst the Android community, from handset manufacturers down to phone users describing their keyboard as almost telepathic,” said Paul Cockerton, MD, Operations, Dynamo. “We’re delighted to be working with such a talented, innovative and ambitious company that’s already had substantial PR and product success. Dynamo will use traditional, digital and social PR methods to amplify and extend existing activities, focusing on significantly increasing downloads of SwiftKey by building awareness within consumers as well as OEMs.”

To date, SwiftKey has saved its users more than 20 billion keystrokes, equivalent to over 250 years spent typing. The recent v2.2 release of SwiftKey X and SwiftKey Tablet X, which added significant international language variants as well as improved speed and user experience, saw the application rise to become the world's most popular Android paid app. You can download the apps from http://www.swiftkey.net/download.

About SwiftKey

SwiftKey makes typing much easier on Android smartphones, replacing the touchscreen keyboard with one powered by smarter natural language technology. The app, which launched in beta in July 2010, understands how words work together to give much more accurate corrections and predictions than other keyboards. It also powerfully learns over time to make typing easier and even more accurate, and users can personalize it using Gmail, Facebook, Twitter, SMS or their blog posts

To date SwiftKey has received more than 3.5 million downloads, saving users more than 20 billion keystrokes: equivalent to over 250 years spent typing.

TouchType Ltd, the company behind SwiftKey, was founded in August 2008 by Jon Reynolds, CEO and Dr Ben Medlock, CTO, both Cambridge University graduates. The company currently has over 30 staff, with its headquarters in Southwark, London, UK.
