New York, NY (PRWEB) December 14, 2011
This holiday season, make a donation in honor of a friend or relative and let them know they matter with one of UJA-Federation of New York’s tribute cards.
Whether for Chanukah — which begins this year on Tuesday, December 20th — or in celebration of the new year, UJA-Federation’s variety of cards are a new and unique way to honor someone while making a difference in the community.
UJA-Federation offers a number of ways to make a donation in honor of someone, with a selection of print and e-mail tribute cards that commemorate special occasions, significant milestones, and Jewish holidays. Each card includes a meaningful quote from Jewish tradition and is personalized with the name of the recipient and the giver.
Through its network of more than 100 beneficiary agencies, UJA-Federation helps maximize the impact of each donation. A gift of $36, for example, can buy 12 daily food packages for an impoverished New Yorker. Five hundred dollars can heat an entire apartment in Brooklyn throughout the winter. From helping alleviate poverty for New Yorkers to providing educational programs for Ethiopian Jews living in Israel, make a donation in honor of someone, and do so much for so many.
